All You Need To Know About Protective Styling

20190618_000412_0000.png

A  protective style (PS) is any hairstyle that protects your hair from damage and the effects of manipulation. The entire aim of installing a protective style is to prevent your hair from damage. However, many of us don’t really see the benefits of protective styling because we don’t do it right (Remember that large chunk of hair that came out the last time you removed those braids?)

My Chebe Experience

Chebe powder is an ancient powder from Chad which is the secret of their extremely long hair. It is said to promote length retention by keeping hair moisturized for longer. Some people have also said it made their hair thicker.

If you haven’t heard about it, click here to find out more about chebe.

I recently got some and decided to try it out to see if it would live up to the hype.

HOW I APPLY CHEBE:

1. Moisturizing

After moisturizing my hair, I seal with my chebe butter mix and braid my hair. When I take out the braids, my hair is always suuuuuper moisturized 😱. It was almost unbelievable. I also noticed that it gave me amazing curl definition 👌.

2. Deep Conditioner

I added the chebe powder to my avocado deep conditioner. After applying, I heated it up with my steamer from @bellz_nhcc for 2 hours.

What I noticed:

The curl definition I got is definitely out of this world!😱😱😱 3 days after and my hair is still curly! And have I told you how moisturized my Zuzu still is???? Honestly, it’s unbelievable!

My hair was surprisingly very stretched after I rinsed out the DC. This was unusual because my hair normally shrinks like crazy.

My hair is also definitely thicker since I started using chebe. It’s thicker through the entire length and not just at the roots. I’m very happy (I’m sure you can tell😊)

And please help me check out my length! You would never believe that these pictures were taken exactly 9 days apart😱

My Verdict:

Chebe powder receives a big thumbs up from me👍. I’ve been using it for about a month. It will definitely be a part of my regimen from now on. Since I started, my hair is definitely stronger, it no longer breaks like it used to💃💃💃💃. I’ve also noticed that my Zuzu has been much much more moisturized. Zuri and I are very happy😊

If you’ve tried Chebe and you think it didn’t work, I advise that you be patient. I started seeing results almost two weeks after I started using it. Don’t give up. Keep using it regularly, great results are on the way.

However, be careful not to use too much of the powder. Otherwise, you’ll just be dripping chebe all day. A little goes a long way👌

P.S: Has anyone else noticed what the Lord has done for my edges? 💃💃💃

Chebe powder is now available on my e-commerce site www.naturalnimi.com.Click here to get yours now.
